Space bar starts and stops. Clicks are scheduled ahead on the audio clock, so the tempo holds even when the tab is busy.
Notes
- Chromatic shows the nearest note of any pitch. An instrument preset instead shows the nearest string and how far you are from it, and highlights that string. Tap a string name to hear its reference tone.
- Cents are hundredths of a semitone. Within about 3 cents counts as in tune here; most people cannot hear less than 5.
- Reference pitch. Orchestras and older recordings sometimes use 442 or 415 Hz instead of 440. Change it and every note shifts with it.
- Low strings (bass, drop tunings) take a moment longer to read because the tuner needs a few full cycles of the wave. Let the note ring.
- Settings are remembered on this device. Nothing else is stored.
